I promised y'all pictures of Molly's latest exploits in the garden, and here they are! For some background, summer killed our tomatoes and thus the garden beds have lain empty this summer. Well empty except when Molly's around! I've given her free rein over those beds and watched her joyously exploring the dirt and mulch. Everyday when we get home from work, Molly runs straight for the backdoor. I used to think it was to see the puppy, who she violently loves, but I was very wrong. Now that Molly can stand her ground against the enthusiastic Einstein, she immediately pushes the dog aside and propels outside. Her destination is the garden bed where she immediately begins digging and sweeping mulch back and forth. After this thorough inspection she begins throwing the dirt and mulch into the air as if celebrating the New Year! Imagine squeals of joy and lots of arm waving. Once she finishes her personal dirt bath or garden camouflage (depending on your point of view), it's time for the dog to join the party! Poor Einstein is not amused having dirt chucked at her, but you can't stop the Molly's happiness. And we have a saying in our house: Happy babies are the best babies!
Where is your child's happy place?
PS - Don't get your panties in a twist, I didn't let her eat that twig in the final picture. I do have some standards... not many, but some.
